Modern AutoStore® warehouse for Giesswein Walkwaren in Austria
Giesswein Walkwaren AG is a Tyrolean family business in its third generation. Modern, sustainable and functional garments and shoes are produced in-house from hand-picked wool in traditional quality. With special expertise and a holistic approach, the company has developed into Europe's leading manufacturer of 100% virgin wool clothing.
A finished goods warehouse was built in an existing warehouse at the Brixlegg site to support the steadily growing online store business and bricks-and-mortar retail. The customized concept with the modern, versatile AutoStore® system comes from HÖRMANN Intralogistics.
When demand went through the roof and the company switched to D2C distribution, Managing Director markus giesswein opted for an AutoStore™ system with 51 robots, 17,500 bins, 6 carousel ports, 3 conveyor ports and 9 levels. As a result, 10,000 cartons of goods now leave the warehouse in Brixlegg near Wörgl/Kufstein every day.
