Optimized strength and safety: advantages of innovative press hardening technology for robust components
Press hardening is an innovative process in which steel sheets are processed into high-strength components by heating and then forming them in special tools.
The automated production cell from HÖRMANN Automotive can process blanks measuring 1,900 x 1,600 mm with a throughput of 1,200 kg/hour. All components, from the blank lubrication system to the curing oven and the 800-ton hydraulic press, are interlinked and the entire handling process is automated. This guarantees HÖRMANN Automotive a high level of process reliability, top quality and cost-effectiveness.
What makes our press hardening special
Wear resistance: The components are characterized by maximum resistance, which is particularly important for the durability and reliability of machines and vehicles.
High strength: The ability to create strong and stable structures that can withstand the toughest conditions is essential for the safety and efficiency of modern machines.
Variety of applications: Due to the ability to process sheet thicknesses >2mm, this technology is ideal for applications in agriculture, construction, as well as crash-related applications and structurally reinforced safety vehicles where particular emphasis is placed on occupant protection and stability.
