HÖRMANN Intralogistics focuses on core business and sells HÖRMANN Intralogistics Services
With effect from January 1, 2026, HILS has transferred its business operations to FK Galvanotechnik GmbH (FKG) as part of an asset deal. An asset deal is a form of company sale in which individual assets - such as systems, machines and inventories - are taken over by the buyer.
In the current economically challenging times, the management of HÖRMANN Intralogistics GmbH, as the shareholder of HILS, is more than ever concerned with guiding the division through these times in a stable manner and positioning it optimally for the planned growth in the future. The decision to sell HILS, which has been primarily active in industrial services in the automotive, mechanical engineering and steel industries for many years, was the result of a careful examination of possible alternative options and several years of restructuring efforts, which have not led to a return to profitability. The Intralogistics division is thus following its clear strategic direction in accordance with Strategy 2030 and focusing on its core competencies.
FKG supports customers in 47 countries with industrial services as well as fully automated and robotics-supported computer-controlled systems, equipment and containers for wastewater treatment, surface treatment and exhaust air purification. Its expertise also includes groundwater and contaminated site remediation. With the acquisition of HILS, FKG is consistently expanding its market presence in Germany and the DACH region and at the same time expanding its service portfolio to include the range of services offered by HILS.
The management of HILS and the HÖRMANN Group would like to emphasize that this transaction represents an optimal solution for the approximately 75 employees of HILS. The existing employment contracts of the workforce will be taken over by FKG.
The HÖRMANN Group wishes the employees of HÖRMANN Intralogistics Services GmbH all the best for the future and thanks them for their loyalty and high level of commitment over a long period of time.
