This system will make a decisive contribution to the automation of Ringfoto's logistics processes and prepare the company for future requirements.

Details of the AutoStore system

The new system is equipped with a total of 30,000 containers, which are stacked on 15 levels to make optimum use of the existing hall height. In addition, five carousel workstations are planned for order picking and four more in the incoming goods area. Two additional frames provide space for future workstations, increasing the flexibility of the system.

The AutoStore system is controlled via the warehouse management system developed by HÖRMANN Intralogistics, HiLIS. It ensures seamless integration between AutoStore and the connected logistics processes. The system can store 180 containers per hour and retrieve 719 containers per hour, which represents a significant increase in performance compared to the previous system. A cleaning station for the AutoStore robots completes the system to ensure smooth and low-maintenance operation.

Efficiency leap for Ringfoto

Christopher Wilhelm, Head of Logistics & Service at Ringfoto, emphasizes the strategic importance of the new solution:

"With the AutoStore system, we will not only make optimal use of our storage volume, but also significantly speed up the processes in incoming goods and order picking. The greater efficiency and increased throughput will help us to meet the growing requirements of our retailers even better."

The start of production (SOP) for the new AutoStore system is planned for April 2026.
