Until now, prototypes and developments from Chemnitz University of Technology were processed on a small, open painting stand. These conditions were no longer up to date and no longer complied with occupational health and safety requirements.
In addition to the unusual plant technology, the spatial conditions posed the greatest challenges in planning and implementation.
In order to create space for the 20 m² paint booth in which the workpieces are to be painted and dried, 3 rooms were combined into one overall room. The old painting technology was completely dismantled and disposed of. After installing the generously dimensioned paint booth as a room-in-room solution, the external ventilation unit was installed. This was located on the small green area between 2 buildings, framed by the associated 2 connecting buildings. Once the exhaust air section for discharging the solvent-containing vapors into the air flow had been installed, the final connections between outside and inside were made.
The first functional tests showed that the user was even more interested in the improved conditions. The user was delighted to take delivery of the system and will soon start painting the first workpieces.
